@darkojaguar: Quokka (Setonix brachyurus) is a small marsupial native to Western Australia, best known for its friendly appearance and natural “smile.” Found mainly on Rottnest Island, quokkas are nocturnal herbivores that feed on grasses, leaves, and shrubs. They are highly adaptable, storing fat in their tails and getting much of their water from the plants they eat, allowing them to survive in dry environments. Although they appear tame, quokkas are wild animals and play an important role in their island ecosystems. Their curious nature and expressive faces have earned them the nickname "the happiest animal in the world." Fun fact: Quokkas can climb small trees and shrubs to reach food, despite their compact size. #Quokka #AustralianWildlife #Marsupial #NatureFacts #Wildlife
