He’s right the fish don’t like the heat!My dad and grandpa would get us up super early for fishing before it got too sunny/hot. But I also remember they would often do evening/night fishing for larger fish like bass.

I usually use a spinner bait just like this, and if you don’t have it in your tackle box use a swim bait, it’s just as good
