I actually really like the detail of Burdock being Haymitch’s bff cause it makes his choices of saving Katniss that much more important. She is her father (and I guess Louella/Lou Lou) but to know that his best friend’s child’s life was in HIS hands. I knew he wouldn’t give up on her when she volunteered
