on a deeper level though, i always thought that this entire incident was supposed to key that walt isn’t a very good teacher. he certainly has a deep love for chemistry, but being a brilliant scientist is completely different from being a good teacher. which i think is evident from the fact that he refuses to tell jesse *why* he needs a plastic bin for the body. instead he insults jesse for not following his instruction. which i think is meant to mirror the relationship the pair had when they shared a classroom.

But I mean, it kinda helped Jesse's and Walter's connection and for Jesse to listen to Walk more, due to now him understanding the importance of science and Walter White's intelligence and knowledge. After this and a few more rough steps, Jesse started actually learning from Walt, instead of being forced to (unless you make an argument about the Fly episode), because at this point, Jesse didn't really respect Walt for things, other than cooking the Sky Blue. As much as I remember, Jesse didn't make the same mistakes after being corrected after getting together with Walt
