no one told me when i got braces id have to wear a retainer at night for the rest of my life, it hurt so much worse than the braces i cried myself to sleep if i slept at all and they just said i needed a new retainer after my teeth started shifting

Braces are not a scam. Your teeth are the first thing people see when you meet them and like it or not people are gonna judge someone with jacked up teeth like I had.

As humans age, their teeth move. Once you finish ortho, your teeth will naturally want to move, hence using your retainer to not fuck up all the work you just did. Permanent retainers are only attached to the front teeth.

as you age your teeth will move. if you get pregnant your teeth may move...with each pregnancy. like if your teeth are suuuuper fucked up get them fixed enough that theyre decent but dont ever worry about perfectly straight

Braces are not just for looks. My teeth were so close together you could not get floss in between to properly clean my teeth and I would get cavities. Braces are not a scam
