diamat is shit, read Thesis on Feuerbach, The German Ideology, also diamat's laws of dialectics are not hegelian, hegelian dialectic = take a determination seriously and giew its initiao claims as true, on its own terms; develop meaning; its own content generates contradiction or insufficiency; it passes beyond itself into a richer determination. vs. mechanical diamat (im calling it that because it practically became that post codification in the ussr) everything has opposites; opposites struggle. quantity becomes quality. negation produces development. in hegel's science of logic he speaks harshly of this, he says that method has to arise from the subject itself instead of being imported (thus externally imposed universal laws r gay) (im not saying that negation of negation, quantity->quality, etc is wrong im saying that, as hegel said, it cannot be imported as an universal law and it method has to arise instead of being imported)
