![@hazel_melbourne is a popular spot in Melbourne’s CBD, run by the Mulberry Group, which is known for its great restaurants around the city. Located on Flinders Lane, Hazel offers a modern Australian menu that focuses on fresh, seasonal ingredients. The space has a warm and inviting vibe, mixing modern and rustic elements, and the open kitchen lets you see the chefs at work, adding to the experience. An overview of what we had as a part of the Winter Set Menu: ❤️🔥 Pecorino custard + brioche + NSW Truffles: so incredible!!! 🦀 Crab toast: inferior to the other two entrees but still yum! the perfect option to add caviar on top! 🎀 Pig head croquette + burnt pear: rich & decadent!! 🧡 Housemade charcuterie selection- house made so so good! Delicious! 🍞 Our bread + butter- house made, this was soo good 🍄🟫 King oyster mushroom, toasted spelt + asiago- I loved the textures in this dish, super chewy & flavoursome, almost reminded me of a risotto ✨Warialda beef tartare, anchovy cream, salt + vinegar chips: best tartare I have had- full of flavour 🐟 Rock Flathead, parsley + Ramarro farm greens: not my favourite part of the menu, just lacked a bit of flavour & the fish was a touch overcooked 🥩 Wagyu scotch 5+ MB + lemon drop pepper sauce (an add on of $20pp), this was sensational! Loved this so much, best steak I’ve had all year, so rich & buttery 🥔 Baby kestrel potatoes + smoked garlic, very very good, crispy, fluffy, the perfect potato I just wish I had more room haha 🥗 Ramarro farm radicchio, orange + ricotta salata- paired perfectly to balance out the rich steak ❤️Chocolate crémeux, quince + cacao nib: the perfect finisher, rich & creamy! The wine list on offer paired perfectly with the food and was delicious! As well as the cocktail list!
