This show is so horrible. It’s basically giving drugs to someone and not giving them anymore making them long for that, and he can’t have that sweet moment anymore because of the school in the village. This only benefits the rich kid, teaching him to be more happy with his situation and making him face reality.

It ruined the kids bc the village kids can’t go back to the villager’s life style without hating their own life or be bitter at their parents. While there are outliers where the village kids gets motivated to work harder in education, most just brew hatred towards their village life.

it was rlly obvious the show was more meant to help correct the spoiled rich kids rather than put in any consideration for the poor kid. esp in china moving in an urban city is way harder as there r regulations for it and i think in one of the seasons, the poorer family had two brothers and there was a whole plot point abt how the older brother gave up that chance for his younger brother to go into the city bc there was only one spot and it was js unnecessarily cruel
