I totally disagree. It depends on every person’s perspective. Not every husband’s household has the same financial status as yours and no girl has any prediction about her naseeb (destiny). So there is nothing wrong if she chooses to focus on her career. If in the future she marries a man who is not supportive or they separate for various reasons, she won’t have to beg others for support. She can stand on her own feet instead of asking others and being taken advantage of because nowadays nobody helps a woman without some hidden motive. This is not about following Western culture. If you can study and build a career to support your husband both financially and in every other way then there is nothing wrong with choosing your career and studying while working in an office alongside male staff. Think positively. Anyone who is mature enough knows their own limits. Moreover, an educated wife can teach her own children rather than sending them to so-called academies or tutors' homes, which is not always safe. If you did not pursue a career due to family pressure, or couldn't study and chose to marry instead, that was your personal choice. Please don't apply that standard to everyone. It was your good fortune to marry into a good family. From the perspective of my field as a doctor: in today’s world most men prefer their wives to be treated by a female doctor, not a male one. So if women don't choose their careers, how will they be able to help other women in need?
