Great thing about this scene was if you saw it in theaters with a great sound system it built up layer by layer when each character tuned into the radio station and then had full effect when the stereo is put on in the store.

People seem to thing Almost Famous is great, but this is the best rock and roll movie other than Hard Day's Night. Every single song on the soundtrack is perfect. I was just listening to Mr. Downtown the other day and I was shocked at how great it was.
