In the early days this place is hunted beside is old monfort school and it abandon for many years 90s kids always after school go there explore the school

left side used to be cemetery, there's a small road between the cemetery and the church, leading to a few kampong houses, I used to stay with my nanny there in the 70s. I used to visit the church even after they cleared the kampong and started to build HDB, Hougang Ave 10. I am not a catholic but just love to go there to admire the church, very beautiful and peaceful place.

There were I think 2 huge clam shell with the so called Holy water on the left and right side of the main entrance pillars. They used to distribute ration to needy people.I remember there was a father Bartholomew if I spelled it correct. A loving English priest who preached in very ,''chim" Teochew fluently.
