This always confuses me. I’m glad I can ask Alexa or Google if it’s the same. I called one time when the pills didn’t look right and the pharmacy said it’s the same pill just different manufacturers.

So to be fair, there ARE some cases where only the name brand will work because of a small ingredient difference that causes a reaction for you specifically. And trust me, it suuuucks to have to pay more for soemthing that is almost chemically identical to

Generic isnt always the same, moved to generic and the meds didnt work, had to go back. I was upset cause the meds were expensive and was happy to pay less.

I don't know how, but already knew this when I was a teenager. I ask/look at the generic names, then the brand. Or the brand, if I already knew the generic name.

You should have told her she is responsible for the difference between the cost of the generic and brand name plus her copay since she is the one requesting the brand.
