It is not a contradiction. Quran 2:221 is referring to mushrikun (idolaters/polytheists), while Quran 5:5 specifically mentions Ahl al-Kitab (the People of the Book — Jews and Christians). In Islamic interpretation, these are not the same category. Therefore, 5:5 is understood as a specific allowance for Muslim men to marry chaste women from the People of the Book, while 2:221 prohibits marriage with idolaters. The verses are addressing different groups, so they do not contradict each other.

I come from a Muslim family, but when I was around 10 or 11, I started going to church with some friends. One day after church, I went home and had a dream where I saw Jesus walking on water, surrounded by light. I was standing on the shore in darkness, and He called me to come to Him. I walked toward Him and woke up. That experience stayed with me, and since then I have been a Christian. 🙏🏾✝️

The one who thinks that understands Holy Trinity missed the whole point. We will never be able to comprehend God and that’s beauty. It’s like digging holes in the sand and trying to fit the sea that comes in waves to the shore. You cannot just fit God in your box. He is Awesome.
