Stickers worked well for my boy, we put lorry sticker on the potty with every win….hope it’s a quick reminder needed and not a full retraining x

We had the same with my second son was showing signs from 18 months it just never really clicked until last year just before he turned 4. He's now nearly 5 and is fully potty trained and not used nappies since.

Hear me out, character knickers! When we first started my little lady was more exited about peppa, blue and moana knickers than anything else and didn’t want to get wee wee on them!

I would ditch the potty and go straight for the toilet. She might feel like she is different as she is the only one using the potty and everyone else on the toilet. It took my youngest until 3.5 years old to be toilet trained, and it turned out to be the potty. But we got their eventually.

My 2.5yr old has ‘regressions’ every so often with his potty training too. It seems to be like the new sleep regression for him 😅

Reward base!!!!! A little choccy star every time my girl went on the potty. Worked a treat! (I know some people don’t like giving sweets to kids but this is what worked for me)

That’s your daughter being stubborn. Put boundaries in place, you should never go backwards.

Personally “big girl method” might be the best for her because she’s so independent xx

I know you mentioned in an earlier post about potential PDA traits. My 4YO son has PDA and he was the exact same with potty training. The minute he realised it was a demand, it was a strong no. We did get there and he is now potty trained but still has issues holding it until bursting because of the PDA. I’m not AT ALL saying this is the case for you/her. Just remembered your post and thought I’d share incase x

My daughter is 3 in August and I am really really struggling with potty training 😭 she is showing all the signs. She is very very aware of what’s going and asks me to change her nappy but she will not wear pants, she will not go on the potty or the toilet. She throws massive tantrums about it. Not sure if it’s a fear, a laziness or just being stubborn 😭 but I have lost any motivation to keep trying if I’m honest

I started recently with my 18 month old as she tells me when she has a wee or poo and the first week she’d sit and wee on the potty straight away now she won’t at all 😭 thought we were onto a winner but alas I was wrongggggg🫠

We started in March and still have accidents. My gut has told me to go back to nappies so many times, but everyone around me keeps pushing me to carry on but putting the fear in me that nappies will confuse him 🙈 when I say still having accidents, some days he can still have 7-8!! Others he has none x
