I argued with my friends exactly on this topic sometime ago, I proved evidently to them, saying braiding is not harram in Islam, it depends on the intentions, and if you’re not imitating women. We argued till I lost my voice, I gave them Hadiths that say exactly why you’re saying here. Luckily, one who’s a researcher did his thing and the next day came out and said I was right. 😅 Chale, that’s why I said bro, we don’t learn here, we don’t just learn enough and we’re so engulfed in our old doctrines. That’s why I initially said, there are so many things that are wrong ethically, I mean that society disapproves a lot but are morally proven right. I gave a locus classicus of this statement, society disapproves one from marrying someone from his family, not his biological family, but like his/her direct uncle/auntie’s daughters, but religiously there’s nothing wrong with that. One will say Morality isn’t the same as Religion, but Morality is simply the sense of right and wrong, and knowing what’s right and wrong comes from religions. Simple.

It is true he used to braid his hair whenever he was travelling to keep it safe and clean. Another thing that is HARAM is dying our hair in BLACK. We can die in any colour but not BLACK

Bro bro bro relax, male hair braid is about culture and has no justification in the Islamic world. Mohammed (SAW) base on certain Hadith mentioned he braids his hair on some occasions, but then he never did a cornrow like you’re describing it, let’s be guided. Braiding is a general word used to name various hairstyles, based on Hadith, reported by Umm Haani Allah be pleased with her, stated that the prophet use to braid his hair (he was known as a man of long hair, and he used to divide them into 3 or 4 parts for easy managing). Here this type of division 3 or 4 is factored into braiding. So my brother don’t mislead anybody. Male hair braid is never reported anywhere as Sunnah!!! I recommend you to do further research on this your topic and come out to correct yourself!! No Islamic scholar will tell you male hair braids is a thing of Islam. The ruling of male hair braid is that, if your culture doesn’t frown upon it then you’re good to go by it, in a situation where your culture is against it you can’t wear it also. Male hair braid has no justification in Islam get that. Once again let’s be guided‼️
