Spending too much time scrolling through social media can lead to procrastination, reduced concentration, lack of sleep, and poor time management. These habits often result in lower grades, incomplete assignments, and decreased motivation to learn. Our advocacy promotes responsible and balanced social media use and caution among students. We encourage learners to become more aware of how their online habits influence their behavior, mental well-being, and academic success. By setting daily screen time limits, avoiding social media during classes and study sessions, prioritizing school responsibilities, and using online platforms for educational purposes, students can develop healthier digital habits. Teachers, parents, and schools also play an important role in guiding students toward responsible technology use. Through open communication, digital literacy education, and positive encouragement, they can help students understand the importance of balancing online activities with academics and personal growth. Success in school does not require avoiding social media completely. Instead, it requires using it wisely and with self-discipline. When students manage their time effectively and stay focused on their goals, social media becomes a helpful tool rather than a distraction. By making responsible choices every day, students can improve their academic performance, strengthen their character, and prepare themselves for a successful future.
