@skytrainstri: My first triathlon taught me so much! It's wild to think I went from not having a tri suit and riding a 1-speed bike to finishing an IM 70.3 in just 11 months. All the mistakes I made at the beginning pushed me to improve. Like buying a 1-speed bike for tris – I ended up with three bikes, but only one was actually right for triathlons. Definitely do your research first! And that helmet? A total mistake, too. I also showed up to the swim in a bikini, thinking I’d change at transition since I didn’t have a tri suit.
