My twins born 24 weeks 4 days. My daughter had a rep. In the Nicu sassy if she didn’t like u u knew she would dstat Brady until u left the room or stopped talking. Extubated herself idk how many times then proved everyone wrong like I got this breathing on her own. Her brother was so good except the one time tube/wires all climb to the corner of the isolet

I’m not nicu I’m L&D but I tell people i spend most of my day fighting with unborn children. Those babies and I highkey have beef sometimes

My 1lb 9oz 25 weeker extubated himself literally minutes after birth. When we asked the neonatologist if he was ok later she said “oh he’s fine, we’re not.” (He is 1 now and has not behaved a single day of his life.)

My daughter was born at 24wks and had to have tubes put in her abdomen for gas being outside her intestines. She pulled them out herself the day the drs were planning on removing them😅🫠

This was 100% my 28weeker. He was literally nicknamed hulk within 5 minutes of being born.He was in jail so many times. One of his favorite nurses was in his room, told him she would be right back and to give her 5 minutes then she would give him some love. This gremlin looked her dead in the eyes, Houdini’d out of jail, and ripped his ng clean off. She hadnt even made it out of the room yet! 😅 He just really didn’t want her to go lol

My first was in the NICU 7wks, born at 33wks with IUGR, APGAR was 3 and needed all the things, this little cherub was strong enough to remove her CPAP, GI tube, and her IV MULTIPLE times a day. No matter what her nurse did.

that sounds like my son😂 poor nurses. when he was in the cardiac ICU he was SEDATED but removed 7 OGs in 12 hours somehow

My son wasnt in the NICU but was on the Peds unit from 3wks-10wks old. The nurses were all calling him Houdini too 🤣 His NG lasted roughly 2minutes before he yanked it out after quite tue battle just to get it in. He had a scalp IV and we ended up strapping both arms to those little arm boards to stop him from yanking that out too.

Currently in the NICU with my baby born at 35 weeks and this little man is literally Houdini. Breaks out of his tight asf swaddle, has had to get his feeding tube replaced 3 times because he keeps pulling it out and keeping trying to eat his oxygen tubes and we’ve only been here a week 🤣

My daughter would pull out her feeding tube, break out of her swaddle, and roll around and get stuck on the edge of the bed and be pinned to the side of the incubator wall. And the nurses would be sprinting into the room and yelling things like, not again! Lol

My 27 weeker was taken off oxygen "for testing" a few times cuz the nurses were tired of him pulling the cannula out of nose, after taping it to his face, multiple times a day 🤣
