It is such an honor partnering with @Samsung US to share this interpretation of Woman Pounding Grain by Park Soo Keun—one of 140 pieces of extraordinary art donated by Samsung’s late chairman, Lee Kun Hee. The Chairman believed, “collecting and preserving cultural heritage is a duty of our time for the future of humanity.” I picked this particular painting because out of all the pieces I saw in the collection, this one moved me the most. The woman buried in this painting reminds me so much of the women from my own life and I thought it was also perfect for Women’s History Month. The Korean National Treasures Exhibit is now on display at Chicago’s Art Institute (@The Art Institute of Chicago ) through July 5. There were tons of folks lining up to see it so make sure you check it now! You’re going to love it! Also recipe for this multigrain rice blend below! #KoreanTreasures #PastandPresent #SamsungPartner @nationalmuseumofkorea  1/2 cup green peas 1/2 cup Lima beans 1/2 cup black soybeans 1/2 cup black eyed peas 1/2 cup sorghum 1 cup sweet brown rice  1 cup brown rice  1 cup farro 1/2 cup pearled barley Salt  Soak peas, Lima beans, soybean, black eyed peas, and sorghum in filtered water overnight. Soak sweet brown rice, brown rice, farro, and barley in filtered water for 1 hour. Drain and rinse all ingredients multiple times. Dry with kitchen towel and place in airtight storage container. Keep in the fridge for up to 5 days, then transfer to freezer. To cook, measure out 1.5 cups of rice mix and add 2 cups of water. Place in rice cooker with sea salt and cook on “mixed rice” mode. You can also use a pressure cooker. You can also cook in a regular pot but your beans will still be pretty chewy.
