Precisely! The reason people get it twisted is because they imagine having the job (because they want it) and now they’ve reframed their existence as someone that’s already received the yes, so no is losing. They see themselves as where they want to be not where they are. Thats how you set visions, but not how you set reality. Great video

A "no" can't hurt you — it just leaves you exactly where you started.Think of it like this: a "yes" moves you forward. But a "no" doesn't move you backward — it just keeps you standing where you already were. So really, "no" costs you nothing. You lose no ground, you're not demoted. The only real risk in asking is missing out on a "yes", never in getting a "no." That's why it makes sense to keep asking: every "yes" is a step up, and every "no" is just... staying put.
