I went through this with my 2 kids 22 years ago. wasn't married, so had no parental rights. I did everything I could, being civil etc,but the mum was in control. so I fought,I gathered evidence for every time the mum changed plans,bad mouthed me etc. lots of meetings with solicitor, finding a house for us all to live in,never missing a child payment. All that I did lead to getting parental rights,from there I could apply for shared parenting, which I was given. Eventually being given full custody because the mum gave up on the kids. The easy option was to let it happen and be passive, being focused on my kids and being relentless was the best decision I ever made. My kids are now 30 and I'm so proud of them ,I brought them up as a single dad,never complicated their lives with me by getting a partner. Just me and the kids and I have the best memories.

I am going through the exact same thing. both my kids are now grown adults. I've spent years trying everything to see them. I'm lucky if I hear from them. even luckier if I grt to see them twice a year. I've given up.

That hit hard .. the system is rigged 😳 .. fathers have same rights with mothers .. Children should me one week with their mother and one week with their father .. till they decide with who they want to stay permanently..( no parent should be forced to send money to another …just to see his/her children )

Strange world there are thousands of kids outthere who are without a father who doesnt care and wants no contact with his kids .But there is also a part who is fighting to see his kids and gets blocked.

It’s got to the point that I am like Bernie Mac, f*ck them kids mane. When you get divorced from your wife so do the kids and I was a great father to them and never abused them or hurt them in any way but the ex is an evil woman. Now they have a new daddy and business as usual with them and I do not exist so f*ckem, and so be it. My new daughter, a Vizsla hound named Lucy loves me so much and is so glad to see me at the end of the day. Their loss not mine! 💯💯💯

I’m in divorce right now, my kids won’t speak to me. My 9 year old sees my texts and won’t respond, won’t answer my phone calls. It’s like I’ve turned into a stranger to the children I did everything for. My oldest son is 22, he’s the only one who talks to me. I asked him one day if I was a bad father to them, He told me no dad, you helped us to become good ppl when we grew up. I broke down, because inside I felt like a failure but in that moment I realized this divorce is changing my children just like ppl say. All these years of building my children up just to have one moment destroy it all hurts more then anything because I care about their future and who they become! My childhood was horrible and I never wanted that trauma or any in their life. It breaks me and there’s nothing I can do 😞
