I had to tell the female nurse I was on my period before giving a sample, and they both seemed so grossed out 💔 I didn't understand that it was so stigmatized even in medical situations??! society was so misogynistic it hurt my heart

even in India, it's such a big taboo about having periods. I went to a private school and we had beige uniforms, so imagine the fear of a teenager when I was on my period 🤧 something I do to destigmatise this is telling my guy friends when I'm menstruating and all the symptoms that come with it! It is the MOST natural thing that happens.
