This portrays how discipline was instilled in children back then. Though it seems like our parents were strict then but it's helping us now, the same way I am going to raise my own children too. Because how many parents asks their children where they got the things they are using that was not given to them nor do they have any income or skills that can provide them that thing. Some even use those things freely in their parents house without any question asked.
