@menshealthmag: Presenting the second of our Summer 2026 cover stars: Shaboozey. When Shaboozey released "A Bar Song (Tipsy)" in 2024, he effectively ended the debate over whether music with heavy hip-hop influences can belong in the country genre: the song topped both Billboard's Hot 100 and Hot Country Songs at the same time, spent 19 weeks on the charts, and went platinum 12 times over. It catapulted Shaboozey into superstardom. But between endless press gauntlets, TV appearances, and live shows, he began to struggle with the pace of success. "When we first started training two years ago, ’Boozey was not in good shape,” his trainer Laurence Ng says, recalling that he was barely able to hold a 30-second plank. But when we recently joined him for a workout, Shaboozey was holding planks for 2 minutes 30 seconds, pushing 550 pounds on a sled, and jumping rope at warp speed. Now not only has he been at the top of the charts, but he's at the top of his game every time he steps under the lights. "The one thing I got to communicate with the most is my body," he says. "I love being in shape. I love being confident." Read about Shaboozey's transformation at the link in our bio.
