According to God’s will, there are 7 things you need to let go of. Because some things, if you keep holding on to them, will slowly keep you from drawing closer to God. First, complaining. Complaining does not change your situation. It only makes your heart more bitter. Many times, it is not that God has not been good to you. It is that you keep looking at the problem and forget to count the grace He has already given you. Second, resentment. Resentment may feel like you are punishing someone else, but the first person it hurts is you. God wants you to let go, not because that person always deserves it, but because He does not want your heart to stay bound. Third, doubting God. We pray, but at the same time, we do not truly believe God will lead us. We say we surrender, but deep inside, we are still holding on tightly. God wants you to trust His word, not be controlled by your anxiety. Fourth, pleasing people. If every decision you make is based on what other people will think, it will be hard for you to truly obey God. A person who follows God cannot always please everyone. So ask yourself: Am I living for people’s approval, or am I living to please God? Fifth, trying to control everything. You want to control the result, the timing, other people, and the future. But true trust means admitting that you are limited and placing your way in God’s hands. Sixth, jealousy. Jealousy makes you unable to see what God has given you. When you keep looking at what others have, you forget what God is doing in your own life. God wants you to learn gratitude, not constant comparison. Seventh, looking down on yourself. Stop saying: “I can’t do it.” “I am useless.” “God will not use me.” Your past cannot define you. Your weakness cannot stop what God wants to do in your life. So today, ask yourself: Among these 7 things, which one is keeping you from drawing closer to God? If these words have touched your heart, you can write: “Lord, help me let go.” If you want to study God’s word more deeply, understand how to let go of yourself, truly follow God, and prepare yourself for the return of the Lord Jesus, you are welcome to join our online Bible study group.
