Not at all a pro choice argument but this is taken out of context if you read her Wikipedia article you’ll see that she was very against bigotry and discrimination and moved to have projects done in the south and inner-cities when African American civil rights activists asked her to. In order to appeal to black southerners she observed that the church was important to them so she wrote letters to ministers to ensure she didn’t come across as racist especially with the Ku Klux Klan active. The first half of the quote that isn’t included in the article the video shows goes as follows: “the ministers work is also Important and also he should be trained by The birth Control Federation of America, as to our ideals and the goal we hope to reach.” She wanted to make sure nobody thought or told people that she wanted to exterminate African Americans because she didn’t. The reason she is featured in the KKK article is because she spoke at many conventions geared towards pretty much anyone as long as people were present saying she was “willing to speak to anyone who would listen” and described the experience as weird and said she found the audience dull and spoke to them like children. She was NOT a member of the KKK and she was NOT trying to exterminate negros. She was a feminist who wanted choice for women and also pushed for the legalization of contraceptives.
