I had a dementia resident who had previously had a single mastectomy. One day I was in her room just making her bed and she looks at me with evil eyes and accuses me of taking her breast. Didn’t know how to answer that one 4 years ago and still don’t.

i’m a carer for my nan and one moment she tells me to kill myself then the next she’s saying i’m an angel people don’t understand they genuinely cannot help it depending on how severe/what type of dementia they have

My grandma tried to stab my mom with a spoon (it was all she had at hand atm) and like.. it’s awful, ya know. But also fucking hilarious. She also locked my grandpa out of the house, he sat in a garden chair that was right under the kitchen window, so she opened it and threw water at him. Also not ok. Also hilarious. Dementia is a terrible disease and we just have to find humour where we can.
