it could also exist for quest purposes say it was real, like how you poison people in Skyrim for the assassin guys

1: It's a full dive game. Experiencing taste and food is part of immersion. 100% people would deep dive into cooking instead of fighting even if it wasn't a death game.
2: Tons of very popular games have zones that either restrict fast travel, prevent exiting at all, or both. That doesn't make it literally even a sliver of a worse game.

I hate people that don’t watch the show. Just see scenes from it and then tear it apart. The poisoning food thing wasn’t supposed used that way in the game in the game there’s a cooking skill tree. Will you take random ingredients mix them together and make things so if you take a paralysis potion and use it as an ingredient in a food, guess what it’s still gonna do the same fucking thing in person it’s not the mechanic was specifically designed to do that. It’s just the way to make it worked you mixed something that had paralysis capabilities into it into something else it’s gonna have the same things. Also the new crystal zones that’s in a lot of fucking games you get to a boss you can’t just leave the boss you gotta fight the boss. It’s in a lot of MMORPGs.

The anticrystal zones are a good mechanic that is bullshit in a geath game and the dungeon has lore like tons of it bit it wasn't explored because IT WAS A DEATH GAME people had other priorities

Bro watched SAO on tiktok apparently. The whole plot of the first season was that the creator trapped all of them in the game with him so he could live out a reality as their god as he evolved in the world with them, of course he’s going to make it life like.

the point of the show is that it was never meant to be a game in the first place, yes if it was it would be bad but we are told thought the show/shows that it was ment to be his world where he can act as god so it was never meant to be a game but a simulated world to trap the users in and have them live under him.

the only possible way I can see this working in a real life game is if it was a mix between xcom dark souls and fallout 76 in a way where you have characters that can die and when you die you lose everything that other players can steal but like xcom you keep all your crafting recipes so even if you start low level you can bump it up with high end gear like xcom but that's just a quick idea I have no idea if it would be fun or be okay with balancing
