WE WANT JUSTICE FOR THE ROHINGYA Nearly a decade after the mass displacement of Rohingya from Myanmar, thousands of Rohingya Muslims who remain in Rakhine State continue to face severe restrictions on their daily lives. Many live with limited freedom of movement, restricted access to healthcare, education, livelihoods, and basic services. Years of conflict, discrimination, and insecurity have left communities vulnerable and uncertain about their future. While the world's attention has often focused on refugees in neighboring countries, the plight of Rohingya still living inside Rakhine State must not be forgotten. Families continue to struggle for safety, dignity, and the basic rights that every human being deserves. Justice for the Rohingya means more than humanitarian assistance. It means equal rights, citizenship, security, freedom of movement, access to education and healthcare, and accountability for past and ongoing violations. The Rohingya people should not have to live in fear, exclusion, or uncertainty. They deserve to live with dignity in their homeland, with the same rights and opportunities as all other communities. The international community must continue to pay attention to the situation in Rakhine State and support efforts that protect human rights and promote lasting peace and justice. The Rohingya have waited too long. We want justice. We want rights. We want dignity. We want a future. We want justice for the Rohingya. — Rohingya Rights Initiative (RRI)
