Well, the High Elves were refugees. They didn’t seize land, and didn’t know the land’s significance. The trolls attacked them, offering no negotiation, and got routed by the refugees. The trolls were always weak and got played at every turn. Saying this as a Darkspear player. The troll’s hate and intolerance has always been their downfall.
