@bestwallethacks: The FBI is warning that you should never check the "Remember me" box when logging into important websites like your brokerage or bank account. When you check that box, the site will store a cookie on your browser and won't ask for two-factor authentication. If you visit a malicious site, they can steal that cookie. Even scarier, if you are logged into your account, your browser holds an active session cookie that a malicious website can also steal. This is known as "session hijacking" and gives them full access to your account without knowing your login credentials. Log out of any important accounts before visiting other websites, even ones you trust. Follow for more and please share with your friends so they don't become a victim!
What about if you use “remember me” but it’s by Face ID?

May be a stupid question, but what if I access via the app? Is that safer or do I not need to go back and forth between apps while I’m in fidelity or banking apps.

no, no, no. Remember me is to remember your username so that you don't need to type it every time. Assume that your user name is public. What you are referring to is something like: "trust this device".

I don’t use SSO or never tick the remember this device box ..it’s a nuisance to go through 2FA each time but at lease it’s sone protection.

Large sums of money transferred should require a phone call confirmation from the financial institution along with text message requiring a response with a 48hr pause

Remember me cookies generally saves just the username/ID and should not auto login a user. Software engineer here whom worked on multiple projects. We would never implement such a thing. Curious to know what sites this applies to. Never seen one thus far.
