@maritozbaking: This Roasted and Crushed Green Gram Curry Recipe: Ingredients: Green Gram (Cherupayar): 200g Water: 2.5 cups Chilli Powder: 2 tsp Turmeric Powder: 3/4 tsp Grated Coconut: 1 cup (ground smoothly with a little water) Coconut Oil: 2 tbsp Shallots (Chuvannulli): 3, sliced Other: Curry leaves, Salt to taste Roast & Crush: Dry roast 200g whole cherupayar on medium heat until fragrant. Coarsely crush it (using a mixer pulse or mortar). Wash: Wash the crushed gram and gently rinse to remove most of the skin (leave a little for texture). Pressure Cook: Add to a cooker with 2.5 cups water, 2 tsp chilli powder, and 3/4 tsp turmeric. Cook for 3 whistles. Simmer: Open the cooker, add the smoothly ground coconut, salt, and fresh curry leaves. Mix well. Heat 2 tbsp coconut oil in a chatti (clay pot). Sauté sliced shallots and curry leaves until golden brown. Pour the curry into this, let it just come to a boil, and switch off the flame.
