Please don’t blame the bus drivers. They are just following their schedules. If you are late for work , try to wake up and leave home earlier instead of blaming everything on the bus driver. Why not try being a bus driver? Then you will understand how difficult their job can be. I’m a student, and I understand that bus drivers are just doing their job, so I don’t blame them either.

Hi, this is not the driver's fault. Sometimes there are no passengers at a bus stop, so the driver continues to the next stop. Occasionally, the bus may arrive earlier than the scheduled time. Nowadays, bus arrival times are displayed on electronic boards and apps, so passengers can check them easily. If the bus arrives a little early or a little late, people still complain. We should understand that traffic and road conditions can affect the schedule.

For safety, other passengers should have stepped forward to stop him from harassing the driver, do remember the incident in China that nobody bothered to stop 1 passenger from harassing the driver and the bus plunged into the river and killed all people on board.

ok to all of u.. i was a Bus Captain with Tower Transit Singapore sometime ago.. busses follow LTA given timings at bus stop and its all rigged by them, if we are too early the DDU unit in the bus will show Blue in colour and if we too late it will show Yellow or Red, if we just in time it will show Green, so to the public, if u guys board a bus pls look at the system which shows the colour to understand. And this whole system is connected to the Bus command center which monitors the drivers and that will be sent to LTA... Guys there is more then to meets the eye in this system and dont blame the Bus Captain as he follows orders..

I have seen drivers who stop at empty bus stops and actually stay there for 2 -3 minutes. I was personally frustrated. but if this is the policy, then the company should state this so that we do not blame the driver for taking this action

I’m surprised by the amount of idiots in this comment section. The SOP prevents too many buses of the same number to form a cluster at bus stops. Those currently 30yo and above, I’m sure we’ve all seen 2-3 buses of the same bus number clustering at the same bus stop. Happens a lot when we were younger. If you miss all those buses, you might end up waiting 20-25mins for the next. Do we really want that? Ofc not. Simple solution. Manage your time and go out early.

For everyone understandings, all bus captains/bus have their own timing from start of the service till end of service... this timing is the 1 which will be displayed in electronic display in certain bus stops and timing in apps, so the driver will strictly follow it.. Timing could be vary according to road conditions, weather, accidents, road closures etc... Every journey of all bus services have their timings, doesn't matter it's loop or point to point... We as passenger need to plan our journey, if bus is late.. Take MRT, or want more fast take grab or taxi.. simple
