The album reached the number 1 spot on the Billboard chart and included Go-Go's signature songs like "Our Lips Are Sealed" and "We Got the Beat". 'Beaty and the Beat' was an instant new wave classic and was one of the most successful debut albums of all time. The Go-Go's were the first all-female band inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame (2021).
