@jana.danielson: It makes my blood boil when I see viral videos on social media that talk about “It’s time to squeeze lift and squeeze and hold and squeeze and lift and push pulse and pulse and pulse.” The reason these videos make my blood boil. Is that in most bodies the pelvic floor is already too tight. We call this hypertonic. So the pelvic floor doesn’t need more lifting and squeezing the pelvic floor needs release. It needs dynamic movement and it needs you to help it. Remember what its job really is. Research done by Dr. Bruce Crawford showed that the basic Bridge was 56% better at functionally training the pelvic floor muscles versus an isolated Keagle. In this mini training, I breakdown the Bridge sequence the breath work the importance of the weight distribution through our feet and how to add an extra bonus of peak engagement at the top of your bridge. Give it a try three sets of three reps 2 to 3 times a week is advised.
