@downtoinvest: 1. Time and choice are assets, same as money. And money's real job is letting you spend your time and make your choices on your terms, not someone else's 2. Not everything has to be optimized. Sometimes living is the point, and an unfinished to-do list is not a moral failure. 3. Planning and preparedness can be both an asset AND a liability. Both raise your probability of success, but they can also turn into an over-analyzation, over-optimization trap. The goal is a balance of planning and spontaneity. 4. If it won't matter in 10 years, don't give it more than 10 minutes. This one's for the FOBO crowd (fear of better options). I'm guilty of it more than I'd like to admit. 5. You don't have to feel guilty about spending money to invest in yourself or bet on your future. Save the guilt for the spending that only buys you temporary pleasure. 6. The longer I go without owning a home, the more I question if I ever want to. I don't know if anyone else feels this way, but the flexibility (and having shit taken care of for you) is kind of nice. 7. The number one way to save money while shopping is to check what something is actually made of. You'll put back 70% of what you originally picked up. #financialfreedom #millennial
