Doesnt matter. Personally I think he did it, and from what ive seen I dont like him. But the fact is, not testifying can not be used to determine guilt or innocence. Its his constitutional right and therefor I support it. End of story.

Because it’s a preliminary hearing….. I would never have a client testify at that. There is no point to give a sworn statement at a preliminary hearing…. A hearing to decide if there is probable cause for the arrest…. That’s it

It is very smart to sit down and shut up at your own trial. No lawyer would advise him to speak on his own behalf.

While I think that he is the alleged shooter, it is still his right to not testify and the state has to prove beyond a reasonable doubt. He is not required to assist them with their case against him.

yes it’s basic in law that people have the right to not testify against or for themselves, they already claimed they were innocent with pleading not guilty, burden of proof is on the state/fed gov.
