@alcomoto: After further diagnosis, we’ve traced the issue back to what appears to be an ECU fault rather than the sensor itself. Our next step is to source a donor ECU, transfer the coding and data from the original unit, and fit it to the vehicle to see if that resolves the issue. It’s the quickest and most cost-effective solution for the customer before considering more expensive options. Modern vehicles rely heavily on sensors and control modules, and while they can help improve efficiency, emissions, and performance, they can also make diagnosing faults a lot more complicated when things don’t go to plan. We’ll keep you updated on this one as the repair progresses. But what do you think? Are there too many sensors on modern cars, or do they serve an important purpose? #Volkswagen #VW Tiguan #CarDiagnostics #MechanicLife #GarageTalk

I had a vw crafter in for a wheel speed sensor fault. Live data showed 516kph. Fitted a new febi sensor. I got the same values. Tested wiring so assumed abs pump. Sent it off to ecu testing no fault found. I thought I'm gonna go for a genuine sensor from tps. It worked perfect. Some of the after market crap ya really cannot trust. Sensors I just try and get genuine when I can. Not wanting to teech ya to suck eggs ya miles above me
