I’ve always been a staunch supporter of organ donation and had the little ❤️on my driver’s license since I was 16. The Kentucky man who was declared brain dead and in the OR, ready to begin the harvest, who was actually MOVING and NOT brain dead made me take it off. So sorry that this happened to your son and your family.

as a nurse that does procurements (not willingly) I want allllll the details. they make us do these and i have to work with a crying lump in my throat! it always feels barbaric and wrong and i’m sad for days.

Donor Services is a for profit entity. The only way your organs are used is if you are still alive and on life support.

My husband worked in the funeral home business for 15 years. He says if most people knew what happened with their organs they’d never donate them.

my own son needs a transplant. ive been through two transplant meetings. when the surgeon mentioned how its illegal to sell organs on the black market and then had the audacity to say it doesn't happen here 😏 I wanted to smack her! it happens every where. it doesnt surprise me that they did that to your son. the corruption runs deep. my condolences.
