My mother in law swears she won’t kiss my baby. But I’ve watched her kiss my nephew multiple times when my sil isn’t looking. And giving sugar to my niece before she was 1 when my sil said no sugar. I am fine with everyone holding her but when she wants to hold my baby I freak and I do not leave her alone with my baby.

my MIL offered my 2y old a donut in front of me at 2 PM: 1) We ate 1 hour ago, he's not hungry 2) He didn’t even ask for anything so he doesn’t need it 3) If he asks for something, he has a banana in his bag 4) Just don’t give him a fking donut?? I hate when our boundaries are not respected then we're considered "strict and stressed parents"🤦♀️

Grandma here- I follow my daughters rules because those are HER kids not mine. So then she has her rules! And I follow them. And yes, I spoil the heck out of those kids. But follow her rules. Spoiling is usually just giving undivided attention ❤️

We are a no food dye family, every time I used to pick my son up from my MILs house, he always had a red/blue/orange stained upper lip from Gatorade. She literally didn’t care at all about our rules. We’ve been no contact with her for a year.
