@deanna_art: If you ever see your artist start blasting a seemingly random color all over your tattoo, they’re not ruining your tattoo. In fact, quite the opposite. This a process we use called “glazing”. Glazing is where you build up thin, transparent layers of color instead of trying to achieve the final color in a single pass. It’s a technique borrowed from traditional oil painting, where you apply translucent layers of paint to create richer color while creating smoother transitions, and bringing depth to the piece. It can really help bring a piece to life 🎨 I’m taking just a few more clients for the rest of this year, so see my profile if you’d like to inquire :) #painterlytattoos #tattooideas #tattoodesign
