@humber.ship.handl: Last night's job into King George Dock, Hull. A lovely evening to back a ship into the lock on the ebb tide. A regular general cargo ship for Hull carrying containers on the deck and timber in the hold. The captain had only been to Hull a few times though so it was the perfect opportunity for the apprentice pilot training with me to run through a detailed master/pilot exchange. The apprentice has never backed into King George before but he'd studied the pilotage guide and applied everything he'd learned during his time here. He executed the job exceptionally well. #cargoship #dock #shippilot #humber #containership
