@latchingwithgrace: The milkshake technique 🥤 (no, not the one that brings all the boys to the yard). Here's the idea: the fat in breast milk isn't evenly mixed throughout a feeding. Early milk is typically lower in fat, and as your breast drains, the milk gradually becomes fattier. Gently shaking or massaging your breast before nursing or pumping may help redistribute some of that fat so baby gets a more even, satisfying feed from the start. That said, here's the important part: we don't have strong research showing this makes a significant difference. And if your baby is nursing effectively and draining the breast well, they'll naturally get that fattier milk as the feeding goes on. So please don't stress about "foremilk vs. hindmilk." But it's free, harmless, takes five seconds...and if nothing else, it might give you a laugh during a 3 a.m. feed. Have you tried the milkshake technique? Tell me if it worked for you 👇 #MomsofTikTok #breastfeeding #postpartum #momtips #breastfeedingjourney

want to purely just breastfeed but I also want to catch the milk coming out of the other breast or in general when baby is not feeding. Is it okay to feed our baby that excess milk from a bottle and still not cause the baby to have confusion from the bottle and the breast?
