All the people trashing these people in the comments for trying to help is wild. Maybe they didn’t know exactly what to do… but atleast they jumped the fence, brought her to their house and tried to help the dog. I wouldn’t have known what to do either. Everyone is so quick to know “what to do” typing on their phone, but atleast they tried everything to help.

Here's what to do immediately: 🐕 Move the dog into the shade or an air-conditioned area. 💧 Pour cool (not ice-cold) water over the dog's body, especially the belly, paws, armpits, and groin. You can also use wet towels, but don't leave them draped over the dog because they trap heat. 🌬️Put a fan on the dog if possible to help the water evaporate and cool them. 🥤 Offer small amounts of cool water to drink if the dog is awake and able to swallow. Don't force them to drink. 🚗 Head to the nearest emergency veterinarian immediately, even if the dog seems to improve. Heat stroke can cause organ damage that isn't obvious right away.

Took my puppy camping one year. And he took a nap in the tent. I didnt even think about how hot it would be in the tent for him to sleep. He started having a heat stroke. I cried hard i felt bad it didnt even cross my mind! My sister in law was heading to the river so i threw him in the truck with her and they took him and dipped him in the river. He ended up being fine and we still have him. I felt terrible!
