If I could recommend just one to watch it would be of Grant. He was our first true civil rights president. I had ZERO clue about the policies and efforts during reconstruction to have America become the country of “all men are created equal.” But as the series highlights our history is complicated, ugly and these men were so very conflicted. I find it so ironic that the founding founders didn’t want to be a colony of Great Britain yet have long colonized Puerto Rico. Have you seen any of these docuseries?
