that’s why i dont lead my life with a victim mindset … it teaches you to pity yourself rather than working on yourself

Oh...I don't know....health issues or chronic health problems. Poverty that means you started at a different baseline. Having to take care of family. Abuse and mental health issues can impact things. We may all have choices but often the choices that are accessible for each person varies.

In some respects, yes. However, this is a pretty privileged take. Your choices are not the only thing that dictates the outcomes. There are a lot of things out of your control. That race you are born as, the socio-economic status you’re born into, your health, etc.

That's great, but unfortunately my chronic illness decides for me every single day. No matter what I mentally choose, my body will say NOPE. There's no 'pushing through', there's no amount of positve thinking. The only choice you get is how to manage the pain, discomfort, fatigue, isolation etc.

And when you keep doing the same bad habits, you're living in cognitive dissonance. Try to focus more on pushing yourself in the right direction, fight for yourself and set aside time for you. Change only happens if YOU make it happen.
