It is incredibly difficult for me to understand how a man is allowed to go wherever he wants, spend time with his friends, visit places he enjoys, attend parties, and live his life freely, while his wife is denied those same basic freedoms simply because she is a woman.
Excuse me, but a woman is not an object for a man to control. She is a human being with dreams, feelings, intelligence, dignity, and rights that are equal to every man’s. She deserves respect, freedom, education, opportunities, and the right to make her own choices.
It breaks my heart to see the way women are treated in Afghanistan. I cry inside knowing that so many women are stripped of their voices, their futures, and even the simplest freedoms that many people take for granted.
Never forget this: without women, there would be no humanity. Every man who has ever lived was carried, nurtured, and brought into this world by a woman. Women are mothers, daughters, sisters, teachers, doctors, nurses, leaders, and builders of society. They are not less than men—they are equally valuable.
A society that silences its women is a society that silences half of its own potential. When you deny women their rights, you do not create strength—you create injustice.
Every woman deserves to live with dignity, safety, respect, and freedom. Her value is not determined by her gender. Her humanity alone is enough to deserve equal rights.
My heart is with the women of Afghanistan. I hope for the day when every girl can go to school without fear, every woman can walk freely, work, dream, and choose her own future. No one should lose their freedom simply because they were born a woman.
