Im mexican and I live in Monterrey, believe me that most of my friends (and me) are exited to go to Chipotle istg. Also, there is a restaurant similar to Chipotle called Dobo and it’s truly amazing. The key is that we don’t see that food as Mexican, nothing different to hamburger restaurants etc…

People saying it’s not gonna last are wrong. Chipotle is seen as an upper class brand in Mexico. Like a Starbucks. Doesn’t matter if the food is not the best people will go just to get some status.
