I think many people would agree that the idea of the high speed rail is good, and people would still want to see it happen. If you become governor, rather than canceling the project, pause it and get an independent auditor to investigate it

Honestly, the solution is something republicans would hate. It’s so expensive because taking the land is insanely expensive and time consuming. One parcel can take years, and hundreds are needed. Just need to give no legal right for landowners to fight when projects like this exist.
