Today I visited a city under siege for 4 years. When you arrive it’s pretty hard to not to notice the bullet holes & destroyed buildings left behind from the war. However what shocked me most about this city was the resilient, kind people & all the stories this place holds. For example, you can see the exact point where the Eastern Ottoman architecture transitions into the western Austrian architecture. Then you can see its giant socialist blocs as a reminder of its days as part of Yugoslavia. But all that’s history… Today you’ll find a city with incredible religious & ethnic diversity, a blend of cultures what’s formed incredible food, coffee hospitality. 📍 This is Sarajevo 🇧🇦 I’ve got so many crazy experiences planned & can’t wait to show you all 👋 #sarajevo #balkantiktok #bosnia🇧🇦 #adventuretravel #europetravel

Because we don’t believe in the impossible, and we pursue our passion no matter the circumstances, during the genocide in September 2024 I directed my very first film as an assistant director alongside my sister, @Raja Khaled . She directed the film remotely from Egypt after being forced to leave because of the genocide, while I became her eyes on the ground in #Gaza . It was a passion I refused to abandon, and I am still chasing it today. The film was originally titled Gaza Joker before its name was changed to Faces Under Fire. It won first place at a film competition in #france , although I no longer remember the name of the festival. I later directed the second part of the film, which was screened at another film festival in Europe. While my films have reached audiences around the world, I remain trapped in Gaza, chasing what often feels like a mirage. But I promise you this: I will never give up.
